Keith the Woodcutter
When you finish, read the whole story aloud.
Keith lives near a Canadian forest. He wears a warm checked shirt. A Canadian flag flies by his cabin. Keith gets his tools ready for work. He walks among the tall pine trees. He finds a tree marked for cutting. Keith checks that the area is safe. He starts his chainsaw carefully. The tree falls into the clear space. Keith cuts the trunk into short logs. He places the logs in a neat pile. Wood chips cover the forest ground. Keith loads the logs onto his trailer. He drives them along the forest road. He takes the wood back to his cabin. Keith stacks the wood under a shelter. The wood will keep his home warm. It has been a good day in the forest.
