Alvin and the Bag of Coins

Alvin was managing the bank when a boy arrived. His mother followed, carrying a bag of coins. As they placed it on the table, the bag tipped. Coins scattered, and one rolled under a chair. Alvin knelt down to help the boy collect them. Together, they recovered every missing coin. The boy looked relieved as they began counting. He had been saving for several months. There was finally enough to buy a bicycle. He showed Alvin a picture of the one he wanted. To Alvin’s surprise, it was for his sister. Her birthday was approaching, and she loved cycling. Alvin exchanged the heavy coins for banknotes. The boy thanked him and put the money away. He left with his mother, eager to choose her gift.
