Daniel watches birds in his garden.

Daniel was watching birds in his garden. They were sitting in an apple tree. “I’ll build them a birdhouse,” he decided. He chose some wood for the sides. His tools were ready on the table. Daniel joined the pieces with small nails. He used a hammer to fix the roof. “This will keep the rain out.” Then he painted the birdhouse blue. He waited until the paint was dry. Daniel hung it from a strong branch. He checked that it was hanging safely. “The birds can come here to eat.” As he added seeds, a bird arrived. “I’ve made a new friend,” Daniel smiled.
