Grace Does the Washing
When you finish, read the whole story aloud.
Grace has gathered the washing in a basket. She loads the machine without overfilling it. The clothes and towels will be washed. Once the wash ends, she takes them outside. Although they are clean, they are still wet. Grace hangs the shirt beside the towels. She uses pegs to stop it blowing away. The warm sunshine should help it dry. Later, she checks whether the towels are dry. She takes them down before bringing them in. Grace folds the shirt neatly on the table. She has already folded most of the towels. Folding everything makes it easier to store. She puts the clothes into a bedroom drawer. Now that the washing is done, she can rest.
