Keith the Woodcutter
When you finish, read the whole story aloud.
Keith lives in a cabin near a Canadian forest. A Canadian flag flies outside his home. He puts on his warm checked shirt for work. After checking his tools, he walks into the forest. He finds a tall pine tree marked for cutting. Keith makes sure the area around it is clear. Then he starts his chainsaw and cuts the tree. It falls into the open space with a loud crash. He cuts the trunk into shorter logs. As he works, wood chips fall onto the ground. Keith piles the logs neatly beside him. He loads them onto his trailer and drives home. The forest road leads back to his cabin. Keith stacks the wood under a shelter to dry. It will keep his home warm during the winter.
